Shipping policy
At Bank Farm, we aim to process and deliver your orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please review our delivery and collection arrangements below:
1. Local Deliveries
We deliver locally on Wednesdays and Fridays, using our own vans.
Our local delivery area covers the following postcodes in full: TN24, TN25, TN26, TN27, TN29, CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6, CT21, ME13, ME17.
If your postcode is not on this list, we are not currently able to deliver to you. Our checkout will not accept a delivery order for an address outside these areas.
When your order will arrive
Our cut-off time is 16:00. Two rules cover every order:
• Ordered between 16:00 on Thursday and 16:00 on Tuesday — delivered on the Wednesday.
• Ordered between 16:00 on Tuesday and 16:00 on Thursday — delivered on Friday.
Your delivery date is confirmed in your order confirmation email. We pack and dispatch on the morning of your delivery day, and aim to deliver before 10:00.
Where a delivery day falls on a bank holiday, we will deliver on the next delivery day and will tell you before you order.
If we are late
If we do not deliver on the day shown in your order confirmation, please contact us and we will agree a new delivery day with you. If we miss that day as well, you can cancel and we will refund you in full. If delivery on a particular day was essential and you told us so before you ordered, you can cancel straight away. Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If you are not in
Your order is our responsibility until it is handed to you, or to a person you have named to receive it on your behalf. So that we can complete your delivery whether or not you are at home, we ask you to choose one of the following and write in the ‘delivery instructions’ box when you order:
• Leave it in a safe place. Tell us exactly where. We will leave your order there, photograph it, and email you to confirm.
• Hand it to me or a neighbour. We will complete the delivery by handing your order to a person.
If you choose a safe place:
• we will leave your order where you have asked, out of direct sun, and photograph it;
• the order becomes your responsibility from that point; and you should bring it in and refrigerate it below 5°C as soon as you can. This is fresh chilled meat. We cannot replace or refund an order that has been left in your chosen safe place for more than 8 hours, or that has been taken from it.
If there is nobody in and you have not given us a safe place, our driver will call you on the number on your order. If you can tell us where to leave it, we will leave it there and photograph it. If we cannot reach you, we will take your order back to the farm.
Whichever option you chose, if we have to bring your order back to the farm, we will contact you to ask for a safe place or to confirm that someone will be in, and we will deliver it once more, free of charge, on our next delivery day. We cannot make a third attempt. If the second delivery cannot be completed either, we are not able to refund your order, because fresh meat that has travelled out twice cannot be kept or sold.
Your order in transit
• Deliveries are made by our own staff in our own vans.
• Very occasionally, weather, a vehicle failure or another event outside our control may delay a delivery. If that happens we will contact you the same day.
• Your order travels chilled in insulated packaging. Please refrigerate it below 5°C as soon as it arrives and use it by the date on the label. Your order should be cold to the touch when it arrives. If it is not, or if the packaging is damaged, do not eat it. Contact us, and see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Delivery charges
Delivery costs £6.50 per order. Our minimum order value for delivery is £30. We do not currently offer free delivery on larger orders. The delivery charge is shown with the product price before you add anything to your basket, and is included in the total you pay at checkout.
Changing or cancelling an order
You can change or cancel a delivery order free of charge up to the cut-off time for that delivery. After the cut-off we will already have started preparing your order and may not be able to change it. Because fresh meat is perishable, the 14-day right to change your mind that applies to most online orders does not apply to it. Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains what happens if something is wrong with your order.
2. Collections
You can collect your order from Bank Farm, Bank Road, Ashford, TN25 7DF, on any day of the week, except bank holidays, between 09:00 and 20:00.
When your order will be ready
Our cut-off time for collections is 11:00.
• Ordered before 11:00, Monday to Friday — ready to collect from 16:00 that day.
• Ordered after 11:00, Monday to Thursday — ready to collect from 16:00 the next working day.
• Ordered after 11:00 on Friday, or at any time on Saturday or Sunday — ready to collect from 16:00 on Monday, or the next working day if Monday is a bank holiday.
We will email you when your order is ready and hold it for 48 hours from that point. Because it is fresh, we cannot hold it beyond 48 hours, and we cannot refund an order that is not collected within that time.
3. General
• Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
• We publish a separate delivery and collection timetable for Christmas each year. Where a Christmas timetable is published, it replaces the delivery days, collection days and hours, and cut-off times set out above.
• This policy was last updated on 21st September 2026.
